Today (04/19/2014) I was on my way to Puerto Plata where I checked in at Atlanta Int Airport. I missed said flight of 6:05am although arriving there at 4:45am all due to poor Customer service. Why? my marriage name on the ticket was different from my Passport but was correct on my Driver's License which I showed to the Attendant who said that I cannot fly and would have to obtain my marriage license; when I agreed to do that she then said that I still will not fly and that I will have to purchase another ticket since the name on present one cannot be changed! (my Husband requested this) We already paid $1000.00 for present ticket & she now requires us to pay another $1800.00 for a new one since she said that the first one is none -refundable and cannot give any credit on it which my Husband requested also; We then paid for a new ticket and still missed flight after arriving nine minutes to boarding, all due to the poor service of the Attendant. We then find out that the name on the ticket could have ben changed which would have put us on our way making it possible to catch out scheduled flight. Customer Service should work with the Customer to make their flight experience a good one! not the type of service that was obtained by Collekatta who only worked against us with a bad attitude displaied when we first approached the counter, thus making it impossible for us to fly!
